Yarn Heaven: The Attic Yarn & Craftery in Marikina

The Attic Yarn & Craftery in Marikina

You guys, I am back to crocheting! I know, I know I still have a lot of pending crochet projects even before my youngest girl is born. Wala na nabaon na sa limot. :D  But you know the saying, you always come back to the one you love. Naks!

Crochet has always been my stress-reliever. When life throws everything at me, I either turn to Netflix, KDrama or crochet. :) I sound so tita already! I prefer staying indoors nowadays especially on weekends with the kids. And now that I am back to the first reason on why this blog had been created, you'll see that I am late on the usual postings. I am just lazy or finishing made-to-orders. Oh yes, I finally accept made-to-order crochets (it's been a dream!) and I didn't expect a lot of orders. (madame na para sa kin yung limang piraso hahaha)

I am pretty serious now when it comes to my customers so I make sure to use quality yarns especially for wearable projects. Before, I don't really care what yarn to use on my projects because it's for my personal use only. Now that I have a few clients, I broaden my search of quality affordable yarns. I still love Kuya Miner's Bodega Yarn Store in Pasig. Indophil/Acrylic yarns can still be used on beanies, coasters, covers, etc. I also frequent VC Trading in Cubao for earring accessories. Shopee is a good online store too for yarns. My suki is Yarns Antipolojust because the online store is from Antipolo for fast shipping.

But, I finally discovered this yarn heaven which is literally one ride away from our house! Thanks to The Happy WAHM's post on IG. Say hello to The Attic Yarn & Craftery located in Marikina City!

This place is a yarn heaven for a crochet artist like me. It is not your ordinary attic yarn store. Every corner of this place is Instagram-worthy! I can literally live here.

Cute amigurumi's are also scattered throughout the cabinets of this store. Gusto ko na din gumawa ng ami's!

Ceryl, who at 24 owns this store together with her mom Cecille who helps her manage it, collected these cute buttons. Meron din syang collection ng mga fabrics. I actually thought these are also for sale. Ceryl also do crochet since Grade 5 (pareho kame!). The Attic Yarn and Craftery Store was put up just this year (sorry I forgot the exact date). But they already started way before pa sa attic ng house nila, thus the name. Eh sa sobrang dame na daw ng yarns nila so they needed a bigger space. I am delighted that they come up with this idea because nakaka-happy talaga sya!

The Attic Yarn & Craftery in Marikina stores several choices of yarns. I am not really a pro in terms of what kind of yarns, pero sobrang dame ng options for cotton yarns here. They have milk cotton, lush garden blend, hand-dyed yarns, and even the fluffiest and big ones. The yarns are imported from abroad and even locally made yarns can be found here. Hooks are also available, brand & unbranded.

They also gave me their newly launched 'The funATTIC Circle Card!'

There are 3 card statuses: (1) Classy, (2) VIP, and (3) Master.

(1) The CLASSY FANATIC card status requires a single or accumulated purchase of at least Php500. This also merits you to:

In order to visit The Attic Yarn & Craftery, you need to send a private message to their fb page. One day prior is needed for the appointment for them to accommodate you. If you can't visit them, fret not because they still consider their store as an online store, so you can still order online just go thru their album on what your orders are.

I can't reiterate enough on how happy I am when I discovered this place! I would defnitely go back, pero feeling ko talaga mamumulubi ako kapag palagi ko silang pupuntahan sa dame ng gusto kong bilhin na yarns. :D Right now, I'll be contented ordering online. :)
