Celebrating two decades of inspiring healthier lifestyles, Century Tuna Superbods is returning with a renewed purpose for its 20th year. More than just another edition of the country's biggest fitness competition, this milestone signals the beginning of what the brand calls the Superbod Era—a new chapter that recognizes strength, resilience, and authenticity beyond physical appearance.
During the recently held Final Callback, hundreds of aspiring contestants from across the Philippines competed for a coveted spot in the semifinals. The event highlighted how the competition has evolved over the years, placing equal importance on personal stories, determination, and overall well-being alongside physical fitness.
Hosted by 2018 Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winner Maureen Montagne and radio personality KC Montero, the callback gave audiences a closer look at each participant's journey. Contestants shared inspiring experiences that showcased perseverance, discipline, and the life-changing impact of embracing a healthier lifestyle.
Unlike previous editions that primarily celebrated impressive physiques, this year's competition embraces a more holistic definition of fitness. The Superbod Era emphasizes that a healthy body reflects mental strength, consistent habits, self-discipline, and a purposeful commitment to wellness.
Century Tuna also reinforced its commitment to inclusivity by welcoming participants from different backgrounds, professions, ages, and body types. This year's callback featured a remarkable mix of contestants whose stories reflected the evolving fitness landscape in the Philippines.
Several hopefuls returned after multiple attempts, proving that persistence remains one of the competition's defining qualities. Mothers balancing careers and family responsibilities stepped confidently onto the stage, while fathers demonstrated that active parenting and personal wellness can go hand in hand.
Family participation also became one of the event's highlights. Among the memorable contestants were a father-and-daughter tandem and a family composed of a mother competing alongside her two sons, illustrating how healthy living can become a shared family journey.
The competition also welcomed well-known personalities, professional models, and fitness coaches who continue pursuing their own wellness goals while inspiring others. Breaking new ground, this year's batch included transgender men competing for the first time, as well as older participants proving that maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle has no age limit.
According to Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc., the competition continues to evolve while staying true to its original mission of encouraging Filipinos to become healthier versions of themselves. He noted that the Superbod Era celebrates wellness as a lifestyle driven by passion, dedication, and personal growth, adding that this year's contestants embody the values that continue to inspire communities across the country.
The finalists were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges composed of Century Pacific Food Inc. executives, actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and former Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winners Jules Aquino and Christelle Abello. Contestants underwent runway challenges and a question-and-answer segment that assessed not only their physique and confidence but also their communication skills and advocacy for health and wellness.
After an exciting round of competition, the official finalists advancing to the grand finals were announced.
