Mega Prime on its Third Prime Mom Club Workshop

Summer vacation has started and this is the best time for kids to do a lot of activities. But isn't it challenging at times too when you can't even find the right activities for them? We moms struggled at times of finding the right summer project that would make good use of their kids’ creative energy and let them learn at the same time.

It was so timely that Mega Prime held the third installment of its highly anticipated Prime Mom Club Workshop which aimed to let moms hear about other moms’ experiences on how they make summer extra fun and educational for their children. It was held last Saturday, 13th of April 13 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong.

The workshop showcased Mega Prime’s strong commitment to be a steady partner of moms, inside and outside of the kitchen. The participants were treated to a cooking demo, trial workshops, and fun talks by Prime Mom Club’s panel of mom experts.

I learned a lot from the panel facilitated by pre-school teacher and personality Celine Cornejo with bloggers and businesswomen Ginger Arboleda and Denise Rayala, and celebrity Chef Rosebud Benitez-Velasco. Mega Prime’s invited panelists come from different backgrounds and have different interests, but are all passionate about being mothers. Knowing that summer is one of the busiest seasons for moms since the kids are on vacation, the panelists shared tips on how to find fun and educational summer activities that families can enjoy during the break. Of course, they also talked about favorite recipes to whip up during summer for the family.

The talks were followed by a short workshop for the moms, first about the importance of playing in the development of children facilitated by Teacher Celine, a preschool teacher and kiddie events host. She showed us the importance of knowing the intelligence of your kid and how you can nourish and support them. Her advocacy is to teach learning through play to parents and kids.

I personally loved how she demonstrated an interactive storytelling session with us moms together with the kids. She read the book "I Love You Foreve" by Robert Munch. The story is heartwarming and I can totally relate. I can still hear how she sang that song: "I love you forever. I like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) Workshop

After the insightful sessions, an interactive cooking workshop by the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) gave moms and kids an opportunity to bond and learn how to prepare recipes such as sweet coolers to beat the summer heat. During this activity, they learned how to make Overnight Oats and Mocha Jelly with Mega Prime’s summer products namely the Whole Kernel Corn and Nata de Coco variety using kitchenware from their official partner, Masflex.

To make this activity possible, Mega Prime also partnered with companies that share a passion for helping moms.

To make sure every priceless moment was captured, NicePrint photographers roamed around the venue and took beautiful photos of guests as they bonded over the activities prepared by Mega Prime.
