#EatLikeAPro: Beko PH Cook Off Cycle 2!

 Beko PH recently held #EatLikeAPro: Cook-Off Cycle 2 at Robinsons’s Metro East for 3 days that started last November 16, 2018. The contest aims to showcase how parents and their children can work together in preparing delicious, budget-friendly, and healthy meals for the whole family.

Last Sunday, 2 mother & child pairs cooked they way off for the finals to win the 10,000 cash prize plus Beko Kitchen Showcase.

Yellow Team (Mercedita Tiongkiao Madrona & Joshua Santos) & Green Team (Cherubim Dacanay & CJ Guerrero) showed their cooking skills by preparing dishes using vegetables such as eggplant, malunggay, and ampalaya as the main ingredients.

Green Team won over Yellow Team with the winning dishes of Malunggay Pancake, Ampalaya Meatballs, and Stir Fry Eggplant.

Celebrity Chef Gerick Manalo also had a cooking demo of Healthy Mushroom Sliders.

The cooking contest for parent-child tandem is in support of Beko’s Eat Like A Pro (ELAP) advocacy, an information dissemination campaign that seeks to help parents provide healthier food choices for their children. This advocacy seeks to raise awareness about the rapidly growing rates of childhood malnutrition due in the Philippines to unhealthy eating habits.

Beko successfully wrapped up the first leg of the Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off last August 31 at the Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off SM Southmall, Activity Center.
