Early Bird Breakfast Club in BGC

I love having breakfast any time of the day! I don't usually have my breakfast, blame it to my current schedule at work. So if I have the chance to have that important meal of the day, of course, I'll grab it!

I always wanted to try Early Bird Breakfast since they have their branch in Eastwood but didn't have the chance to try it then. Our office already moved to BGC and my co-workers decided to have an early breakfast after out shift at work so off we went to Early Bird Breakfast Club in BGC.

Loving the newspaper type menu that is perfect while you sip that hot coffee.

We had the whole place to ourselves as we took pictures around while waiting for our orders. Here's what we ordered:

Bacon Chicharon PHP195

Slices of bacon deep-fried to perfection. Either dip it in garlic sour cream or their signature vinegar.

French Toast Fondue PHP175

French toast sticks served with maple syrup, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate sauce.

Early Bird Caesar Salad PHP195

Crisp romaine and rustic garlic croutons tossed with their homemade Caesar dressing and fresh Parmesan shavings, topped with your choice of:
Poached Egg: (PHP205)
Grilled Chicken (PHP255)

French Toast with Bacon & Eggs PHP325

Four slices of ciabatta French toast with 2 slices of bacon and scrambled egg.

Build Your Own Omellete PHP150

A classic seasoned 3-egg omellete with your choice of different fillings.

Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Roasted Tomato Soup PHP325

Cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyere between slices of toasted bread with sweet and spicy onion relish served with roasted tomato soup on the side.

Yin & Yang Champorado PHP275

Rich Belgian dark chocolate and Belgian white chocolate champorado served with sweet toasted dilis on the side.

The food to me honestly was overrated. I was craving for a grilled cheese sandwich and their version disappoints in every way. The bread tasted old, the soup seems like it comes from a can and the cheese tasted bland. The serving of it was ok. It can be shared by two people. Didn't finish it all but tried to spare the last one slice and gave it to Al. Good thing that the Champorado tasted really good! It is the kind of champorado that I love! The rice is not so sticky with not so much of a soup, the way I like it. The sweetness is just right and chocolatey it is! It actually saved the day. The bacon chicharon, french toast fondue, and french toast with bacon and eggs are ok. For the prices that are steep with my high expectations, I am not sure if I'll go back.
