In terms of hair treatments, there are a lot of options that we can choose from. As for me, I always love curls! If I can just have curls for the rest of my life, I will. :) I had tried a cold perm before and it only lasted for about 3 months. It made my hair so dry and severely damaged. That is why, it is really important to choose the treatments that we should have for our hair. Not just for beauty but of course how to attain its healthiness. Last weekend, I had a chance to visit T&J Salon at SM Masinag. It was my first time to visit the place. They demonstrated their new treatment which is Acid Rebond or Perm using Okover.

ACID REBOND OR PERM USING OKOVER
Curl & Slim for Extremely Damaged Hair
Acid waves usually have a pH rating between 4.5 abd 7.0 and require heat to speed processing. The main ingredient in an acid perm is glyceryl monothioglycolate. Since hair has a pH of around 5.0 acid waves are less damaging to the hair, require the heat of a dryer usually and typically do not produces a firm as curl as an alkaline wave. You will want to use acid waves for those individuals with very fine textures hair or those whose hair is damaged or has been processed with other harsh chemical services again.
Alkaline waves are made using an alkaline ingredient, generally ammonium thioglycolate. They also have between 9.0 and 9.6 in pH. Alkaline waves are also called "cold waves" since they don't need any extra heat source to process. These work best o hair that is coarse, thick or resistant to processing as well as "normal" virgin hair as they are much stronger when compared to Acid waves.

After checking the hair if its suitable for the treatment, here was our model for the day trying the Acid Perm using Okover. It is consist of the usual steps on doing a perm. It will just differ on the products that they will apply on the hair. Their products are high end and a nice natural curl is guarantee that will not damaged the hair but especially made for damaged hair that will make your hair soft.
Here was the Before and After shot of our model for the Acid Perm using Okover. I love that the smell was not too strong. It is actually pleasant to the nose. The strands of the hair was so soft especially the ends. It also looks very natural. I hope I could try it soon!
