Mango Grill Manila's Big Cheese Cassava Cake

Among my favorite Filipino delicacies is kakanin or sticky rice. I love it as a dessert or even for a simple merienda. Aside from biko, tupig, and palitaw, Cassava Cake is one of my favorite. Cassava is commonly called kamoteng kahoy or balinghoy here in the Philippines. It is a classic Filipino dessert that is freshly made from grated cassava and cheese is also be added. You know that any food with cheese is my weakness! I can still remember that my mom used to bake these when we were young and just thinking about it makes me crave.

Yesterday, I was not expecting any packages then this cute tampipi arrived! It was delivered by Lalamove. Is there any packages cuter than this? When I finally got a hold of it, aba medyo mainit-init pa! That's when I finally realized na pagkain pala ang laman neto! Eh di lalong na-excite ang lola nyo? :)

And because I also want you all to take a glimpse of this package too, here it is! What's inside this eco-friendly package is the Mango Grill Manila's Big Cheese Cassava Cake! I love the fact that they ditched the original, aluminum containers for an eco-friendly, oven and microwave-safe packaging. They call it the “native tampipi.” They are currently supporting new and veteran weavers by having regular shipments of the native tampipi from Sorsogon to Manila. It is definitely a plus!

Did you know that this is the bestselling cassava cake in Sorsogon? This cake is an original, homegrown family recipe from Sorsogon in Bicol since 1994. It is gluten-free, grain-free, and nut-free. No need to go all the way to Sorsogon because they are now available here in the Metro! But don't worry, raw ingredients direct from Sorsoganon farmers so their product is 100% proudly farmed and baked by Bicolanos.

If you'll ask my verdict, this is one of the creamiest and tastiest Cassava Cakes that I've tasted so far. It is soft, creamy, not too sweet with thick cheese gratings. And one more tip, you'll enjoy it more with vanilla ice cream! Please see storage and reheating instructions via their packaging tags.

One 7" round cake costs PHP400 (one size only) approximately 1kg each. It is available in classic (no cheese topping or extra cheese topping). No extra charge for extra cheese! Yum! No minimum order for regular sugar and 4pcs minimum for less sugar. There is an additional PHP50 with the native box.

No more failed cravings as you can easily order now online and have it delivered right thru your doorsteps. They deliver COD via Lalamove.
