Another food adventure in Antipolo. This time we visited Happy Chef's Mango Grille along Sumulong Highway. I don't usually go on this side of Antipolo so it is always a fun discovery for a new place to eat within the area. As soon as you enter the place, a big mango tree will greet you. It is placed at the center with al fresco dining on the left side and air-conditioned one on the other side. I love the interiors, every angle is instagramable.
I like that this place is perfect for family gatherings and events.
Here are the food that was served.
TOKWOW P155
BINAGOONGAN P220
SINIGANG NA BABOY SA MANGGA P350
FIESTA PLATTER P1, 299
Liempo, pusit, hipon, bangus, chicken fillet skewers, ensaladang talong and 6 cups of rice.
LECHE FLAN P120
Among my favorites are Binagoongan, Bangus and Leche Flan. For me, there's no wow factor on the food. It actually feels like you are just at home eating home-cooked meals. I am giving this restaurant 4 stars on Zomato because I think it will have more room to improve. They have a good location and they must use that mango tree to their advantage. They included mango on every dishes that they have, it just that it didn't have any distinct taste on any of the dishes and you can all forget all about it.
