Have you experienced feeling so overwhelmed with a lot of food choices whenever you go to a buffet restaurant? The rush inside you on wanting to taste everything and being full but not really? Well let me introduce you to something that might actually change your perspective regarding buffets. Last week, I was invited to an intimate buffet lunch in The Round Table that is located in Kapitolyo.
Say hello The Round Table!
The Round Table is the restaurant of the catering company Q Provisions. Q Provisions uses the restaurant as it's "all you can eat Tasting Room" that is open to the public daily to showcase it's menu. Initially they just cater events but because of high demands, they eventually set up a restaurant.
The restaurant is not that big comparing to other restos offering buffets. They can only accommodate 25 persons so they have a theatre style-timed seating. Two seating time slots per meal period. Lunch is at 11:00am to 1:00pm and 1:00pm to 2:30pm. Dinner is at 6:00pm to 8:00pm to 8:00pm to 10:00pm.
It was refreshing to know that there is a buffet restaurant not that grand so not to mislead diners to expect a grand set-up.
The Round Table is called The Round Table because of the round table that's located in the dining room where the daily spread is placed.
It was last Friday when I got there and the theme was Roast Carvings Fridays. Here was the menu.
Tossed Green Salad |
Fish Finger with Aioli Sauce |
Roast Chicken |
Roast Beef |
More Roast Beef!!!!!!!!!!! |
Cute Cupcakes |
I actually loved everything! I first ate rice with the super good Roast Beef, one of the best! Then ate pasta with fish finger. The Roast Chicken was also good, seasoned enough, crispy and juicy. I liked the fact that The Round Table is a small craft buffet where every dish is prepared fresh and in small batches. Guaranteed that all the menu served is maintain with its freshness and flavor integrity.
Another reason to love the place is that they have a daily themed with different menus! Their Roast Beef is only served during weekends and special occasions. But the new feature that they have is they will be serving their awesome Roast Beef everyday! Sounds good to me!
Here are the different theme menus:

It was one awesome buffet lunch I may say. I was full but not too engulf. The taste and quality of the food was not compromise. The quantity of the food was just enough and I was able to enjoy myself with a massive amount. I never thought that a buffet resto will be this simple yet satisfying. The staff are attentive, everyone was so friendly. I was able to meet Chef Mia & Ms Thea. I also got a chance to have a small talk with one of the owners. As Chef Mia said, The Round Table is flexible with every dishes and yet they still continue to develop and progress with the food choices that keeps them with the latest culinary trends around the world.
