I can't really remember when was the time I started to become a devotee of St Padre Pio. I only recalled that my previous Team Leader recommended to pray novena to him when I was pregnant with my twins. Being pregnant with twins has a high risk of complications. There is a large possibility that they will be premature because they are struggling for space inside my womb. Another factor is the fact that I am on a small built.
When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, He was the one that I first approached to pray. He didn't give me most of my request, but he gave much better answers even if I am not asking for it. I am always thankful for all the blessings that He gave to my family.
Pio of Pietrelcina (Italian: Pio da Pietrelcina) O.F.M. Cap., commonly known as Padre Pio (May 25, 1887 – September 23, 1968), was a friar, priest, stigmatist and mystic of the Roman Catholic Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Padre Pio became famous for bearing the stigmata for most of his life. This condition generated much interest and controversy around him. He is now venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.
When we went to Regina Rica one weekend, we passed by the St Pio Chapel in Balimbing, Tanay. My mom knew that I prayed for him so we stopped there and roamed around. I never knew that they have a chapel there because I frequent to the one that is in Eastwood. The place is surrounded by green plants and trees. It also has an overlooking. The place is so quiet and calm that is so far from the metro's noise.

After roaming, we went to their small store of figurines and key-chains. We bought key-chains and a St Pio figurine and had it blessed at Regina RICA.
Before we left, we wrote our petitions. I don't have much request I was thankful for all the blessings. I specifically prayed for my mom's and our family's health first and foremost.
