It always gets exciting when there are new offerings in the metro. Recently, City Garden Grand Hotel's Spice Cafe introduced new dishes to fellow foodies via Zomato. Spice Cafe now presents their Japanese Ala Carte with wide varieties from maki rolls, sashimi, nigiri sushi, salad, and appetizer.
Go healthy too and try their Salad Bar Buffet for only P499/pax (Unlimited salad bar, cheese, bread, and soup) and P899/pax (Unlimited salad bar, cheese, bread, and soup + spa treatment).

I was privileged to try and savor their authentic Japanese Cuisine at Spice Cafe. I was stuck in traffic going to Makati. I never really want to risk going there knowing that it's a Monday. But how can I say no to Japanese dishes? Well, braving the traffic was worth it! Here is the food that we tried.
Assorted Maki
I love Maki's so I have these on my plate first. They have Crazy Maki (P420), Tempura Maki (P495), Unagi Maki (P475), and Yasai Futomaki (P290).
Ebi Tempura (P395 for 3 pieces; P550 for 5 pieces)
My picture doesn't give justice to how good this is. The shrimp was big that one bite is not enough. I can't count how many I consumed. :)
Cold Soba Noodle
It was quite weird that a noodle is served cold. But the taste of this complements the cold noodles and all the ingredients on it. It has sweetness and noodles are cooked al dente.
Beef Yakinuku P495
Tender beef that served on sticks. Sweet marinade sauce.
Chicken Teriyaki
If you love anything sweet, teriyaki's is right for you. Served with rice, can't help but divulge into its juiciness.
Japanese Soft Cheesecake P150/slice
Every meal is not complete without a dessert. I love the combination of the sweet mango to the not so sweet cake.
They even served coffee which actually completes my day. Don't forget to visit Spice Cafe at City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati to try this authentic Japanese Cuisine. Let me know which one is your fave.
