Butterbeer of Starbucks
Holiday season is here! So it means that the Holiday Drinks are now available in Starbucks! Yay! My favorite is Toffee Nut Latte. But being pregnant last year means no coffee! Though I can still order their Chocolate Cream Chip Frappe, I looked for something that I can order with Toffee Nut. Then I stumbled upon Certified Foodies and discovered that you can order for Butterbeer in Starbucks if you have the recipe. Yes you heard me right, it's Butterbeer, the famous drink in Harry Potter!
"Why don't we go and have a butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks, it's a bit cold, isn't it?"
—Hermione Granger inviting Harry Potter to the Three Broomsticks Inn (source)
Butterbeer is a popular wizarding beverage described as tasting "a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch." It is served at numerous locations in the wizarding world and has a very slight alcoholic content.
If you are a fan of Harry Potter's you will love this. You don't need to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando just to have a taste of Butterbeer. All you have to do is hand the bartender the recipe.
I tried ordering this in Starbucks, Eastwood branch last December 2013 and the bartender gladly prepared it for me. According from Certified Foodies, Butterbeer is technically the same as their Caramel Cream Frappuccino without the Toffee Nut syrup. Remember you can only ask for this on a holiday season because of the availability of Toffee Nut. The taste is somewhat sweet, bubbly and refreshing with a butterscotch cream like. It costs P170.00 for Grande and you can have it on the size that you want.
It felt like I am also a wizard in Hogwarts enjoying my cup of Butterbeer. He He He. Let me know if you tried ordering Butterbeer in Starbucks!
